St Mary's College
Our school began in 1964 in response to an expressed desire by the parents of the Lake Macquarie region to provide the opportunity for their daughter so attend a catholic secondary school. The Parish Priest of Gateshead at the time – Fr. Roger Kennedy – had the foresight and the energy to enlist the help of the Sisters of St Joseph to build a school – on land owned by the Congregation and with the commitment of the local community his dream became a reality.
