School Information

Mary MacKillop College, Kensington, is situated across the street from the Sisters of St Joseph of the Sacred Hearts’ first Mother House. The Mother House was built by Blessed Mary MacKillop through the assistance of Robert and Joanna Barr Smith and was open in May 1876. Today, it is known as the St Joseph’s Convent Chapel and it is located within the South Australian Province’s Convent grounds. The College is an Order owned, all girls secondary school for Years 8 to 12, and it draws its clientele from the wider Adelaide area, but mainly the Eastern and North Eastern suburbs. Over ninety percent of the student population move onto tertiary studies at the completion of their Year 12.
